Why are young people slaves to fashion?
-they want to assert their individuality and show that they have already from the influences of their parents and their parents’ generation
-to gain acceptance of their friends
-In the hunt for identity, teenagers usually turn to self-examination and experimentation.
-fashion defines their personality - who they are and what they what to be
-influence of media: they believe that if they keep up with the trends as the media does,they believe they are cool
